Boy Toy

I spent a beautiful day at the beach a couple of weeks ago. This little guy was intent on what he was doing. I love how kids can find anything and turn it into the most amusing toy. I don't know this boy, but his mom kindly gave me permission to snap a few photos. I'll post another painting of him with his sister tomorrow.

Adorable, Brenda. Don't you just love watching kids. I have a great shot of a 2 y.o. sticking her head in the sand bucket like she's looking to see how much room is left. It makes me laugh.

Hi, Brenda.
Just wanted to tell you how much I love today's painting of the boy at the beach. You've captured a moment of childhood -- the innocence and the total absorption of a self-directed task! The colors are beautiful. The translucent quality of the water is echoed in the boy's clothing. So glad to hear you'll be doing more children paintings!
Happy painting today! It's Field Day at our school -- here's hoping we don't get rained on!
