Weightless

I painted these and the last rooster feathers as part of a Daily Paintworks Challenge. The challenge was to premix colors before beginning a painting. I mixed up enough paint for the two feather paintings I'd planned. Though I like the idea of it, I inevitably mix the wrong colors or too much of them. Not a big deal, but I've had more success mixing as I go. To see the other challenge entries please visit here.

of course now i want this one too! and why not! i'm beginning to see that i mix far too much when i pre-mix and end up throwing out far more than if i hadn't. it's just so sad to see those perfect globs of color dispatched to the trash. i still haven't learned out to save paint! another beauty my dear friend!
